Descending triangle
A descending triangle is a falling upper trendline meeting flat support; a close below support usually continues the fall, a close above the trendline signals a reversal.

How the descending triangle works
Sellers push each rally lower while buyers defend the same support level. The squeeze ends when one side gives way.
It is more often a bearish continuation pattern, but breakouts above the falling trendline, especially with the larger trend, are common on PSX stocks.

- A close back inside the triangle soon after the break (a fake-out).
