Falling wedge
A falling wedge is two downward-sloping lines that converge; the selling loses momentum and a break above the upper line is usually bullish.

How the falling wedge works
Price makes lower highs and lower lows, but the lows fall more slowly than the highs. The narrowing range shows sellers running out of force.
It can appear as a reversal after a decline or as a pause within an uptrend.

- The wedge's widest height, projected up from the breakout.
- Fails if
- A close back below the upper line or below the wedge's last low.
